Meet Your Host
Neil Silvert is the host and co-creator of Your Grey Matters, a podcast that has become a prominent voice for Conservative Canadian perspectives on governance, policy, and culture. With over 50 years of community service experience, Neil began his career in Jewish communal service after graduating from the Jewish Federation Practicum Program in 1983.
He has since worn many hats—fundraiser, venture capitalist, and mortgage broker—bringing decades of real-world expertise to every conversation.
Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Neil's warmth, curiosity, and conversational skill make him a natural interviewer. He draws out authentic stories from politicians, entrepreneurs, legal experts, and community leaders, creating engaging discussions on topics ranging from housing policy and energy to legal rights and democratic engagement.
After a life full of learning, Neil is passionate about sharing knowledge, challenging assumptions, and connecting with Canadians who care about the direction of their country.
